Laundry Soap DIY time

this is the failed soap i wrote about

the third soap

its crumbly and wont cut

 so i grated it up

 the curls dont really form into long curls and turn into powder right away

these are the only pictures i have
but i also baked baking soda to make washing powder (400 degrees f for 25 mins)
and added borax

1 cup powder soap (sodium cocoate)
1.5 cups borax  (tetrasodium borate)
1.5 cups washing soda (soda ash sodium carbonate)

and a vinegar or citric acid rinse to get the oil out of the clothes but then it just smells like that smell of clean like melted oil from citric acid
im using this washing powder for the public machines and also for my hand washing at home
just started making this stuff so im not sure if its worth it or not.. i have some laundry soap bars and they work great for stick stain removers. so this laundry soap powder, if it builds up on the clothes ill just use store bought detergent most times as usual.
i also use this washing powder i made for cleaning (with gloves though. my hands have dried out since the season changed) but the washing soda is scratchy.

so far ive stopped buying lots of stuff, to save money i dont have,  to learn science, to have something to keep my mind and self occupied so as not to not suffer traumatic memories.
its ok..kind of slow
i have many ideas and would like to realize them all. need a watson or something.
