20 years long glue

 it took about twenty years for the watch resin i used to use for cameos to flake off easily with a fingernail. thats not a lifetime!! im sad about it and hope no ones cameo has fallen out. im now looking into other two part epoxy resins or super glue. i want a permanent bond!!! not sure if i should use super glue but i see it advertised as ok for jewelry repair. i would never use the stuff. theres a two part epoxy resin that says its for jewelry but what does that mean. does that mean delicately handled items only? i want super strength. two part epoxy ... or just super glue. i dont know what to do.

another thing im looking into is finding a gold plater in town that wants to work with me and tiny pieces of jewelry without gouging me for rates. still havent found any to even agree because once they hear youre selling the stuff they either refuse or charge you up the wazoo. i find it dumb and unfair its not like the pieces to be plated are already sold. so greedy like what, no one else can make money on gold plated things apparently according to the few local gold platers ive contacted. worse yet, a jewelry store with in house repairs...... sighing. glue and paint it is.....

i woke up really early today. like maybe 6:30 and it looked like this:

you could see the shadow of the moon it was too cool...watching it fade....

made some its your life tags! i bought thses vintage brass charms on etsy and used the stamp alvaroo got me to make a set of tags! what work jeez! oxidized, sanded and lacquered and so nice! i did them at night though so i think i couldve sanded some of them a bit more but mostly they are i think perfect.

i stamped the inside of this vintage brass "my diary" charm i oxidized and lacquered first but you can still see the stamp, though the 'its' part isnt as clear.

ohhhh  check out this vintage trim i found at the fabric shop near my hauz.... i totally bought out the retro dot trim it was like .39 cents a meter!!! its soo cute and cottony i think ill make a trim pouch... like is used to...and the bongga geo tribal shiz i thought of jodee

VIRGIN MARYS (Vancouver) Has stuff from Got Craft! I didnt take pics before sending :s but Jamie did really well. My faves are the vintage japanese glass fruit cameo pendant necklaces. I love those. I couldnt believe I found the cameos again.. and other pieces.. it was kinda late. I totally slacked and forgot to coordinate and get my stuff to Virgin Marys from the last fair!! But theres some stuff there now.

Plume Necklace - Feather Necklace

This feather charms necklace is excellent.
I love it.
Made it with lots of feather charms (two kinds) and lots of chain tassels made from ball chain and linked chain.
The metals have a slightly different tone and I've lacquered the whole piece so its finish is just wonderful.
