Craftacular is happening today, Sunday December 12!

Craftacular always strives to be a show for the undiscovered crafter and to be a diverse and eclectic in what we showcase.


...This time around will also have another holiday themed photo booth this time so come ready to get your photo taken!

Niki Kendall will be setting up a Portrait booth for Christmas Photos! Traditional, goofy, kitschy, individual or small group photos...plus, the option of props (I will have a limited supply of Christmas-y props), no props or, bring-your-own props!

Chenoa LeBlanc : creative misfit. always something different. this time might be involving moustaches and octopi, oh and buttons. always buttons.

Jake Pruim : artist/toy designer who is really into cute monsters and all things cartoon... i'll be selling stuffed monsters, prints and zines of art work, and xmas cards... probably some buttons too...

Crystal Andrichuk (Mangled Heart Accessories) : probably the best earrings ever. some other rad stuff too.

Fenger + Fung : handspun yarns and simple jewelry inspired by the geometry and splendour of natural history.

Blim will be presenting a monthly Community Market this month to take place for the first time, at the Chinese Cultural Center in Chinatown.

This Months market will include 60 vendors, music, hot food, beverages, and entertainment. Vendors will include food, fashion, accessories, supplies, fine art, vintage items and records, and not be limited to crafts. And there will be a focus on nurturing and promoting creative production in our community. We want to appeal to young, old, hip, plain, babies, animals, men, women, everyone.

We are very excited about this event and what it can contribute to Chinatown’s artistic vitality, and how it can help support and encourage the local creative community.

On the Saturday before Mother's Day we are excited that the next I Heart Crafts Bazaar is going to be at the Toast Collective - if you haven't been to this neighborhood at Kingsway and Fraser lately it is becomming a very interesting intersection. Several neat little businesses have popped up here in the last couple years: including a lovely french bistro called Les Faux Bourgeois, Erin Bonifero's shop Collage Collage, a new "sewing lounge" called Spool of Thread and the awesome arts and craft supply shop Ruby Dog. Come spend the day, have lunch and explore.

Though Im making so much stuff for the fairs, I havent brought the image earrings and new designs for spring to Virgin Mary or Dream yet! I feel kind of guilty. Need to update my site too. I can hear crickets in there.

hey you guys,
im doing some fairs.

i got into the portobello market for october! woo! i just need to come up with $115 in 10 days to pay for my slot. as we all know, im broke ass after paying rent and bills. whew.
i also owe GOT CRAFT $70 for their fair in december!

hmm oh yeah and im gonna be selling my stuff in a new online designer/handmade store (i wont reveal it till my stuffs up on there!)

oh yes.and of course our favorite BLIM market is on the October 18!!!!

ive made the most amazing owl lockets on venetian box chain. i cant even describe how PERFECT they are. it was the double oxidizing that did it im sure. all the details are very pronounce due to my double oxidizing technique. hehe. making them extra cute and super perfect i love them!

hmm. whatelse.

oh yes. there is a FUND RAISER on Oct. 6 that I will be showing my artifact dolls i made a few years ago and im donating 3 pieces of jewelry to the event. all proceeds go to the typhoon victims!
This event is gonna be great. Please bring donations in cash and kind! (well, now that we know phil. customs is widtholding relief goods ,maybe just bring cash, or! you can buy one of the jewlery pieces i donated :)

mannnn ok i gotta get to work.
so i uploaded a couple new necklaces in my shop. they are lovely and i would keep them for myself.
but i keep fudging up on the pics uploading. gotta fix that.

so this weekend, on the 14th which is SUNDAY i am doing 2 fairs. Andrea of GotCraft is going to be selling some of my stuff for me at the GOTCRAFT fair at Little Mountain Studios while ill be over on Main St. for the Car Free Day at BLIM. I always used to do the car free day on commercial drive with amber at virgin mary's but now she is beside the portuguese club and she told me they have a sausage pit going on for the duration of the festival. and its a hundred dollars to set up outside (your own) shop-it was free before. so as not to smell like sausages ill be at blim. also alvaro is going to make some food for eating (at blim)

flat broke right now. i am. lazy. need to get into more shops and make more stuff but i am lacking supplies like gold chain. looks like ill be oxidizing charms like crazy and trying different stuff.

so now i gotta get back to work. i think i need to make around 120 pieces of jewelry. id love it to be more, though. but i wonder if i can do it. 40 for barefoot contessa so i can pick up a check, 30 for andrea, 50 for me at blim.


last week we went to the peaches concert which was so freaking rad and then starved for like, 2 days. heh
