Reopened shop and blogging once again 2016

Hey guys
Haven't been on here in ages.

But I here I am again, I even reopened my IYL etsy shop and have a few pieces listed.

Currently I am studying to be a certified Aromatherapist and plan on making skin care products like soap and lotions to add to my Its Your Life shop items.

I'm not sure how many blog posts I'll be writing. I remember trying to post one a day. That was a long time ago.

might just list the pieces like these pictures and indicate which item the listing is for. thats the only way ill want to cut down on the price and make it a true clearance item.. i havent started studying today im just so interested in looking into picking up my old online business :p

seems like so much work and it wont be clearance anymore and also wont have time to make stuff at the same time. anyway there are a lot of pieces and i am happy to have had the foresight to load up on supplies and kept this stash of pieces before packing all this stuff away.

   
 this vintage brass heart locket with the vintage lithograph screen print images varnished on.
loved making these and they are so beautiful 100% upcycled refinished vintage supplies mixed in with new charms.
     
 these two are very pretty and charming. the large grey rose necklace features a small cameo set into a filigree setting which is then set onto the main filigree holding the rose. it has a tiny perfect bead charm dangling from below. the second necklace is jam packed with lovely charms and chain. there is a vintage butterfly shaped brass locket and a large mirror charm (which is new) it also features a short section of Czech glass bead chain in a lustrous champagne pink color. a large open clock charm adds to the feathery and decaying effect of the dangling chains and creates a charming and quaint image of time passed, akin to a preserved dried rose keepsake on the vanity.

multi cluster designs are a bit harder to arrange but when its done, its so worth it! sea life. i used a vintage brass gothic seahorse, a starfish, matte glass beads that go bigger, a lava stone, a filigree locket and a long figaro chain. love love love

this one features a vintage style brass mesh bow with tassel, and a gorgeous heart shaped vintage reproduction locket with a blooming rose design. i have varnished and oxidized the locket. its on a long figaro chain....

bee locket! this one features a different bee... and i used the copper side of the vintage locket... with champagne pink luster renaissance cut firepolished Czech glass beads.

super fine cameo set onto an ornate vintage brass setting... there is a key charm and a round filigree locket.. on a long figaro chain with a single black bead. super perfect for white tee, blazer and jeans.

i love to love... two hearts vintage reproduction locket paired with a crown key charm and a matte black rose... shorter and adjustable. this item is SFW :D

a vintage green cameo and a brass sparrow charm. dangling below is a feather. sooo cute and a favorite design. a balanced three charm cluster for me, is perfect.

here is another set of 3, at $7. they are so nice but i dunno. maybe people wont like the lavender owl and green stag head? so i priced it low.

New Stock in Virgin Marys!

 

here is some of the new stuff i brought in earlier. 

brought in one pair of the new image earrings..the only silhouette pair.. im going to make a batch of anchors, bows and silhouettes in different colors for virgin marys and will bring it in mid-next week.

 

some of the stuff in my online shop is now available at virgin marys. like the sweet escutcheon earrings called "Eternity" in my shop. cute little key holes for your ears... the large rusty bird cage necklace "Summer Song" and the mini bird cage and bird "Cloud Bluff", the charming bird cage and bow necklace "Spring Song" and a longer version of "Lotus Song" hmm lots of singing going on here ;D well there is a lot to be happy about! Sunshine, and lots of it!

Mermaid and Pirate Ship Locket Necklace

this necklace features a mermaid, a ship cameo and a mini skull locket!
the mermaid charm is so detailed... she is plying with her hair while looking at herself in the mirror.

the miniature locket and mermaid charm have been oxidized, finished and varnished by moi.

classic necklace designs

this vintage cameo and filigree with chain tassel pendant i assembled is so pretty. when i made it i thought it was familiar to me somehow.
the glass beads match perfectly with the cameo. pretty wonderful considering they are from totally different eras! i wonder if they made the beads match this color. i saw once an old jewelry making supply catalogue scanned online and it had this exact cameo in it. from the 50s or 60s i think.


this round locket necklace is totally cool. simple and beautifully decorated. the figaro chain give a little texture to the neckline. the large 30mm round locket is a good size to make a noticed understatement ;D it rests above the breast, on the chest, for a dramatic yet casual style.
looks great with strapless tops, chiffon and silky type blouses, round neck sweaters, t-shirts... its a pretty versatile piece. definite wardrobe staple.

i have posted some new pieces in my shop and have decided to donate other pieces in the fundraising event on oct 6 (see posts above!) 25% of the item price to the flood victims in manila via red cross :D

this gorgeous bee locket. i oxidized a vintage brass and copper locket and a brass bee charm and added a piece of vintage chain as a border :D


here is another vintage brass locket. i have oxidized the locket and the filigree piece that i affixed on top, then i added a vintage black rose cabochon.


here is one of my fabric pendants :D its got a cute red robin and a little brass bow charm :D


a classic! here is a brass envelope locket with an i love you card insert. i have oxidized both and hung the locket on a brass alloy chain.


my favorite new design!! this is a gorgeous piece! a vintage hematite colored glass cameo head on top of an acrylic mirror set on an oxidized silver setting. the pendant is hung on a hand linked filigree chain (took me four hours to make it!) its quite long and very chic :D


here is the last piece that ive newly uploaded, another fabric pendant :D it features a matriochka doll on linen.. in green.. sew cute!
