i made this just now - denim body pillow

denim body pillow
i guess you could use old jeans and your old mishapen pillows just like i did if you ever wanted or needed a longish pillow. so here it is, my body pillow made of super soft stretch denim drawstring skirt by garage (brand) body pillow. for the back part or seat of my sofa.
so squishy i love it. i used two pillows one of them i took apart and folded in half and used batting to make it a solid pillow and just put it right in without fabric - hope that doesnt get loose.
its sewn shut so ill only get to wash it by undoing the edge haha thats ok but i forgot to use the stich that is just one thread so you can pull it and it comes apart... i forgot what its called:::

Home in the Cloud - Laptop Case tutorial

kind of a tutorial
because i never finished the case so far
never found anyone willing to monetize the video tutorial with me for my youtube. was not short on replies though. wow do people waste my time. im honestly the only person i know that makes stuff anymore. or even knows how to. or even does anything.
probably at some point someone will make money off this idea
but not me and not now. dang. well here it is

the house block quilted and backed, then attached to the clouds/  the puffy clouds are just stitches around actual printed cloud fabric.
i backed it with pellon then felt then batting then the cloud fabric. stitched around the cloud onto the felt. its very comfy but i think for a real case it needs another sturdy layer like just cover a laptop case that you buy.
 the pieces
 the front block
attaching the strip onto the back
the back before attaching the front
 at an angle
 the front
there are many mistakes and i wish i had set up the serger... but i made this laptop case with darry in the old storage where i met him lol we stayed up till like 5 in the morning i was obsessed with making this damn thing cos he had hooked up an extension cord and i could use the sewing machine
close up on the cloud stiches

the bottom left corner isnt right but i fixed it after

the back! after ironing.

april 29 update:
now please dont steal my exact project and make money off it without giving me some money too.  serious. if you want to borrow the idea and sell it tell me and pay me bitch! just kidding. i know dogs cant sew. just kidding! i know some very talented dogs. but i think im still traumatized from that girl who stole my busy as a bee necklace design and copied my description word per word. number one, she didnt even change it up at all, number two she didnt even give me any money. THE WORST!
this laptop case is super dirty now and i never finished the zippered  top part even though i know it would only take a couple hours of dedicated hand stitching. My machines are in storage now...locked up in storage... cos men like to make sure i dont have anywhere to go but in their arms! oh puke fest.

Small Quilted Items!!: Sweet & Simple Patchwork Gifts: 25 Charming Projects to Make Using Classic Quilt Motifs

Go figure the book is from 2012 !

https://www.amazon.ca/Sweet-Simple-Patchwork-Gifts-Charming/dp/0312591365

Here it is from Amazon but I borrowed mine from the Palmerston library which I found from my area had the most sewing and fiber craft books! I think its all the Italian women in the neighbourhood!

I first tried the hexagon pattern. I dont know why. Then I realized I did not add seam allowance so everything was small. Then I didnt finish it. I will though, its adorbs.

Then I tried this project but I gave up after two blocks (lol) because I was doing it by and and Im impatient... then it got stolen ! I was annoyed so then I made this one in storage.
ugh look at the back its so messy i didnt actually follow the placement of the corners and just whatevered it.
this one with bunnies was the one that got stolen. booooo i dont know if i have anymore of that bunny fabric, its a chinese print, thin cotton. so cute

so i just remade it with the same polka dot houndstooth... its less cute actually! damn!

The book is a super great starter book if you like the japanese aesthetic, im not sure what makes it so, the authours are japanese and the design of the book itself reminds me of aranzi aronzo books, i love this style of diy sewing book.

support your local library, and mind!

there are super cute projects, the house ones! actually the house block i can show which is part of my latest project but i will just wait until its done (add zipper) to post cos i kind of want to make a tutorial for it so ill need to make it twice.
