I wrote this thing on industrialized seed oils for my coconut oil soap listings
i will keep working on it because , so what? its not very focused on my speech on why *my* soaps are worth *your* money

Why Coconut oil soap?

Coconut oil soap is a good alternative to a standard industrial seed oil, also known as vegetable oil, because of the detrimental effect these industrialized seed oils have in regards to consumption on all levels; the large scale manufacture of the genetically modified crops required to produce such oil, and their purpose as a low cost cooking oil for human consumption. Industrial seed oils have a skewed proportion of omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids which cause malfunctions in our regulation of systemic inflammation. This alteration of a delicate balance of pro inflammation and anti inflammation actions causes a wide range of health aliments to the human body and the physical environment on which the crops are farmed. The manufacture of industrial seed oils usually requires hexane to expel all the oils from the husks, there is usually a deodorizer added and other chemicals to solubilize the oil so we get to see how clear and pure it really is. These additives make these oils for human consumption on a large scale very detrimental to our health on many levels. As a small homemaker and craftster it is difficult to navigate convenience and budget, but the use of other plant based oils is possible. Coconut oil is a good alternative, and coming from the sunny Philippines, I love using it, grew up using it in all variations, freshly cooked from the milk with its very strong toasty thick smell of a brown and nutty heady old coconut, to an ultra refined and deodorized, fractionated and silky oil!
It’s a fantastic oil to work with, makes a great soap because of its semi solid state in cooler climates, it sets up quickly, it makes a nice white hard bar, it is very cleansing and can cause dryness, but that aside and fixable, it lasts a very long time and regular coconut oil doesn't go rancid for many years, I love using coconut oil for soap and hope you will like it too!
