Almond Oil and Shea Butter MIlk Soap!

Yay
packaging is done
then i got obsessed and made a mini one
and an even smaller one.
hehe will post those pics in the day.

Milk Soap!

so this is the Shea Butter Milk soap.. hm. was not expecting this packaging.  it turned out better than i expected.
still too ornate, was going for a more flat look
does anyone see the hemp plant under mickey.

these are the best paper milk caps i found as free clip art
and made them into a pattern
whew
really cute
would make nice quilting fabric
(like the monchichi fabric)
==========+==============+==============+=============+=============+======
Shea Butter and Milk soap with Almond Oil as the main feature oil plus Hemp seed and Castor in a mainly Coconut oil soap recipe.
Wanted a good shampoo bar but I think it will be too oily due to the high amount of excessively superfatted coconut oil. Its the bare minimum lye water amount so will take a while to cure. This soap features 10% Almond Oil and 8% Shea Butter (a blend of two Shea butters, a mild nutty yellow crumbly one, and a smokey heavy smelling fatty oily one)

I waited for it to gel before my very eyes for the picture! Then I got kind of bored and worked on something else by the time I looked up the whole thing was already gelled.Which is unfortunate because I had left the light on one side for too long and there is miniature alien brain on one side when the surface evaporates faster than the inside and forms a skin and shrinks is what I conclude alien brain to be.

I tried copying my shampoo bar recipe ingredients... its not the same. No sunflower oil! I didn't have any. But this soap I made a milk accord specific for the Shea butter that smells like bacon! Omg! It smells like milk to me, much stronger and more realistic milk accord than I ever dreamed! I don't want to share my essential oil blend for this milk accord yet, *just* made it last night. Only pure plant oils and extracts in this soap!

Its ... needs to cure. and I need confidence cutting the bars. the large end is for me to sample and play with, the two thin bars are the samples i cut in half for mini packages. the rest... needs to be cut assuredly. if you can see the sample cuts have a bit of hesitation and since the soap isn't fully formed yet its so soft and you can see the back and forth of the wire. drat. so Ive stopped at that block pictured and will cut the rest later when i fangle the angle.

this soap is inspired by L'Occitane Shea Butter Milk soap.

when I was looking up packages I found their simple nice package and copied how to write the grams and Net Wt. for my soap boxes lol so I kept seeing "Shea Butter and Milk". Ive never tried their Shea Butter and Milk soap but I am so allured by their brand. Also this package they have reminds me of table top majong pad paper also used as seamstress pattern making pad.

Will make some labels, something milky and flat graphic (not ornate botanical style) will do my best

and post them when they're ready
xo

ta-dah! Editing the label... packaged soaps coming up!

well i made a lotion with the lemon milk... im allergic to it just like real milk, drat. thought less than .4% as per the recommended amount for Peru Balsam according to Tisserand would be ok, but it sensitized my skin right away! got a couple small red spots that stung, and one small welt. They went away and tried the moisturizer again...and again.. it smells so good~! Gee whiz! will reformulate with less aloe vera, no peru balsam (will try the valerian root and carrot seed oil for its geranyl acetate which i read here... seems like a good idea- added a drop of carrot seed into the newest fougere on someones suggestion and remembered adding it to the calming blend before, and it really does make a delicate difference https://monq.com/eo/terpenes/geranyl-acetate/
the lotion has a fantastic consistency.. best one yet..but still not oily enough for me. it absorbs too quickly. the aloe vera gives it a really nice slip and wet texture, but i think i put too much (.24 grams too much) the smell is amazing though, i really like it, creamy sweet slightly lemony, it really smells like lemon cake to me with some cream cheese frosting... its sweet smelling and i think its so great because its got a cake smell but its just essential oils from my collction!  sometimes i catch a whiff of milk and lemon poppyseed cake, its very nice to me! I never liked vanilla before.
i would like to get a new preservative because was i getting contact dermatitis from the rice lotion with .20. this preservative plus the milk blend with peru balsam and its repeated application, my skin went insane (then my entire torso starts itching and other random parts like my forehead and thigh...sigh) these milk lotions (made 3 sample bottles, 60 ml, 25 ml, and 15 ml) have only .10 preservative as proven by the rice lotion in september (still smells fresh, tried it yesterday again in disbelief. only wish i didnt use so much of my sample because the 25ml is 3/4ths gone) and i wonder again if .05 will be too little...
