whats gonna happen to all the aging hipsters, aka gen x?
are we all doomed to always wear our favorite shirts,
now passe, while tinkering with our far out ideas
will we get to that ideal place of love, understanding, and respect?
have we been beaten down enough yet,
too respectful to navigate the non physical violence,
have all our old lifestyles been replaced by simulacrum yet,
our debts replacing our joys,
while our bodies waste and change and morph to someone unknown

whats gonna happen to all the aging hipsters
have our parents died yet?
some have,
the generation that ruled us with iron fists,
coddled and fed us outdated science-
ridiculous then and absurd now
who is taking their place?

whats gonna happen to all the aging hipsters
are they all going to come fore with the emergence of the cannabis industry boom
will our ideas finally be realized, open minds, open spaces
less demands on our precious slacker time,
time well spent foraging new technologies, broadening the internet, novel social approaches, psychedelics as therapy, conservation initiatives, non profit organization social order, printed media, private spaces, this is us right?
