ReplyDeleteNico, ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards that are basically little cards the size of a playing card that you make and trade with other crafters/artists.They can be made out of anything as long as they are flat-paper, collage, stamping, fabric, beading, ribbon, etc. Often people make them in a series of at least three. On the back of the card you put your name, date, city where you live, 1 of 1, 2, 3 (like paintings). Many artists collect them in a notebook in the same sheaths that people use to collect baseball cards. Then, when they need some inspiration, they pull out the notebook and look through it. And there are many websites that give you tips and ideas on how to create ATC's. Sorry-this was the long story. My blog has pics of them. Anyway, your friends remind me of cousins I have in the Philippines and it's great you don't have that far to move.
